How to Uninstall Intel Drivers

Method 1: Device Manager

1. Search for Device Manager.

2. Open the Windows Start menu and search for “Device Manager”.

3. Expand Device Categories.

4. Look for categories relevant to the Intel driver you’re removing like these:

  • Display adapters (Graphics drivers)
  • Network adapters (Network drivers)
  • System devices (Chipset drivers)

5. Right click and Uninstall:

  • Right click on the specific Intel device.
  • Choose “Uninstall device”.
  • Check the box “Delete the driver software for this device” if you want a complete removal.
  • Confirm by clicking “Uninstall”.

Method 2: Programs and Features

Note: This method mainly applies to Intel software packages rather than individual drivers.

1. Open Apps and Features:

  • Search for “Apps and features” in the Start Menu.

2. Find the Intel Software:

  • Find the Intel software application you want to remove for example Intel Graphics Command Center, Intel Driver and Support Assistant.

3. Uninstall:

  • Click on the program and select “Uninstall”.
  • Follow the uninstall prompts that show up.

Important Things

Restart: Usually required after uninstalling drivers for the changes to fully apply.

Identify Correct Driver: Be absolutely sure you’re uninstalling the right Intel driver before proceeding. Uninstalling core system drivers can crash your PC.

Fresh Drivers: If you plan to reinstall some updated drivers, get them from Intel’s official download center:
